About the Role
Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join their team in Jacksonville, NC. This role offers variety by working with different patients, team members, and locations, providing opportunities for skill development and growth.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
Incentives and Benefits
- Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
- PST Incentive Plan: Eligible employees may participate in a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
