About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Strategic Sourcing Specialist role based in Thane. The Specialist will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing spend data
- Monitoring market trends
- Preparing sourcing strategies
- Conducting comparative assessments of supplier performance
- Leading contract and price negotiations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, finance)
- Implementing supplier development initiatives to improve delivery, quality, and cost
- Maintaining sourcing documentation
- Tracking key performance indicators
- Supporting continuous improvement in the overall supply management process
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MS Excel and other sourcing or ERP tools
- Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Strong supplier management capabilities, including Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Development skills.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for cost analysis, market research, and performance tracking.
- Experience in Contract Negotiation, including pricing, terms, and service-level agreements.
- Knowledge of Supply Management practices, including procurement processes and inventory coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are an advantage.
- Experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing, life sciences, or laboratory products.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Proven ability to work systematically, meet deadlines, and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
