About the Role
- Full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.
- Perform electrical testing and commissioning of power generation and substation equipment.
- Ensure installations meet technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test procedures.
- Analyze test results.
- Identify faults.
- Coordinate troubleshooting activities with project and site teams.
- Prepare test reports and documentation.
- Support system startup and energization.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to adherence to ISO quality processes and safety protocols at project sites.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Electrical Testing and testing of power systems and equipment.
- Commissioning of switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and related equipment.
- Troubleshooting for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults in power plants and substations.
- Electrical Engineering with knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, protection schemes, and testing tools (e.g., relay test kits, insulation testers, CT/PT testing equipment).
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Strong attention to safety, adherence to ISO quality procedures, and commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams.
- Willingness to work at project sites, manage field conditions, and travel as required within project scope.
