About Cladbe
Cladbe is building the operating system for real estate developers, unifying inquiries, site visits, bookings, payment schedules, and handovers. The company is building toward commercial launch and hiring a Backend Engineer to join their core engineering team.
Initial work will be in Bareilly for a few months, followed by a move to Noida.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the core APIs: stateless Node.js and TypeScript services that carry the business logic of the Cladbe OS.
- Own data integrity: PostgreSQL is the source of truth; a Redis-compatible store serves live inventory and fast, short-lived holds.
- Engineer for concurrency: implement locks, idempotency, and retries.
- Build event-driven workflows: using Kafka as the event bus and a workflow engine for automatic updates.
- Integrate with a licensed payment partner: manage booking and payment-status workflows, and reconciliation.
- Run deployed services on Kubernetes, focusing on resource efficiency.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Node.js and TypeScript in production
- PostgreSQL in production: transactions, isolation levels, row locking
- Idempotent APIs and safe retries
- At least one message queue or event bus in production
- Debugging from logs, metrics, and traces
- PostgreSQL as the source of truth
- Redis-compatible store for caching and locks
- Kafka as the event bus
- Workflow engine
- Kubernetes
Qualifications (Nice to have)
- Graph databases
- Redis-based distributed locks
- Kubernetes in production
- Payments or fintech experience
- Experience with a graph database is a plus.
