About the Role
The Machine Vision Developer will design, develop, and deploy machine vision solutions for automated inspection, measurement, and quality control in automotive and electronics manufacturing lines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuring cameras and lighting.
- Selecting appropriate lenses.
- Integrating vision systems with automation equipment and back-end software.
- Building and optimizing vision algorithms.
- Conducting feasibility studies and trials.
- Troubleshooting system performance on the shop floor.
- Collaborating with project and maintenance teams to ensure stable operation.
- Documenting solutions.
- Supporting installation and commissioning.
- Providing technical input for new projects and cost-optimization initiatives.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Solid foundation in Computer Science with understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience in Software Development and Programming.
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
- Knowledge of Back-End Web Development for integrating machine vision systems with databases, APIs, and production monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with machine vision tools and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, HALCON, Cognex, Keyence, or similar).
- Familiarity with industrial automation concepts, PLCs, robotics, and communication protocols is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Ability to analyze production requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver practical, robust solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
