About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Officer role based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Promoting and selling life insurance products.
• Engaging with prospective and existing customers.
• Building strong relationships through branch and channel networks.
• Identifying and generating leads.
• Explaining product features and benefits.
• Conducting needs-based sales conversations.
• Ensuring timely completion of proposals and documentation.
• Coordinating with bank staff and internal teams to support sales operations.
• Tracking individual performance against targets.
• Maintaining accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Providing responsive customer service.
• Addressing queries and concerns.
• Contributing to the growth of business in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and provide clear, reliable support.
• Lead Generation and prospecting skills to identify opportunities and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Sales Operations skills to manage documentation, sales processes, and follow-up activities efficiently.
• Channel Sales skills to collaborate with bank branches and partners for business development.
• Relevant experience in insurance, financial services, or banking sales is beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work toward targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with local market dynamics will be an advantage.
