CIC Project Engineer Technician

About the Role

KEMET Electronics, a YAGEO Group company, is seeking a technician to support the Ceramics R&D Group. This role provides technician support for R&D engineer-led projects focused on developing ceramic capacitors for electronic applications. The group develops ceramic capacitors for advanced applications including electric vehicles, AI servers, medical electronics, military, and space applications. This is a first shift position.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule batches of capacitors for processing through different stages within the R&D product development line.
• Collect data from processing and testing labs for development batches.
• Conduct physical measurements and inspections on capacitors.
• Maintain accurate records of processing information manually or in designated software.
• Report on and assist in troubleshooting development cycles for new products with the Development Team.
• Support quality improvement activities.
• Function as a positive team leader/member.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & Teams
• Experience in Manufacturing and/or Lab environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member.
• Well-organized and efficient at managing time.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to move materials of weight 1 to 10 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Associate’s Degree in a Technical field is a plus.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical repair is a plus.
