About the Role

Jan Sewa Hospital (Attached to Medical College) is a healthcare institution providing clinical services alongside medical education and training. The hospital collaborates with its affiliated medical college to support teaching, research, and patient care.

This is a part-time remote role for a Medical Doctor. The Medical Doctor will provide telemedicine consultations, review patient histories, and offer evidence-based diagnostic and treatment recommendations using secure digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telemedicine consultations.
• Review patient histories.
• Offer evidence-based diagnostic and treatment recommendations.
• Assess patient symptoms.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Advise on follow-up care.
• Coordinate with onsite clinicians and nursing staff for continuity of care.
• Contribute to clinical documentation.
• Participate in case discussions.
• Support medical students or trainees through virtual teaching sessions.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and data privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Current medical license/registration in relevant jurisdiction.
• Clinical expertise in general medicine or relevant specialty.
• Strong diagnostic and patient management skills.
• Experience with telemedicine or remote clinical consultations.
• Comfort using electronic health record systems.
• Excellent communication skills for clear, empathetic patient interactions and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice, evidence-based medicine, and patient safety.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Interest in medical education.
• Willingness to engage with students or trainees when needed.
• Prior experience in a hospital or academic medical setting is an advantage.
