About the Role

• Contribute to the development and evolution of Autodesk's cloud data platform.
• Build reliable, scalable software used by millions of customers worldwide.
• Work alongside experienced engineers, architects, and product managers.

• This role is based in Pune and reports to the Manager of Software Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain high-quality software primarily using Java and Spring Boot.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering practices.
• Work with experienced engineers and architects to understand technical designs and translate requirements into software features.
• Contribute to cloud-native services and RESTful APIs running on AWS.
• Build automated unit and integration tests to improve software quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Learn and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and production support practices.
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve software defects and production issues.
• Contribute ideas that improve engineering practices, developer productivity, and product quality.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools and practices, including code generation, automated reviews, and Spec-Driven Development, with appropriate engineering validation and oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0 to 2 years of software development experience (including internships, academic projects, open-source contributions, or professional experience).
• Good understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of fundamental data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot (gained through coursework, projects, internships, or professional experience).
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web application development.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience using Git or another source-control system.
• Understanding of software testing concepts, including unit and integration testing.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and work collaboratively in an engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, including services such as S3, SQS, DynamoDB, Lambda, or IAM.
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native application development.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Experience with shell scripting or Linux development environments.
• Exposure to application monitoring, observability, or production support.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized applications.
• Exposure to streaming or distributed data technologies such as Apache Flink.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
