About the Role
Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Pediatric Pathologist for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida. The role involves sharing responsibility for all pediatric surgical pathology and autopsy cases with three pediatric pathologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a team of pediatric pathologists.
- Share responsibility for pediatric surgical pathology and autopsy cases.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- MD or DO degree.
- Possess (or be eligible for) unrestricted Florida medical licensure.
- Board certified in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology.
- Certification (or board eligible) or extensive experience in pediatric pathology.
- More than 3 years of experience as a pediatric pathologist is highly desirable.
- Epic Beaker laboratory information system.
- Digital pathology adoption strategy in progress with a targeted go-live of 2027-2028.
Qualifications
- Pediatric pathology expertise.
- Experience with a wide spectrum of anatomic pathology cases, including:
- Bone and soft tissue pathology
- Muscle biopsy
- Epilepsy pathology
- Gastrointestinal pathology
- Fine needle aspiration cytology
