About the Role

This position will support facilities projects and engineering teams in either the plant engineering, project engineering, or crane engineering teams. The role involves researching, planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
• Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
• Evaluates, maintains, and performs troubleshooting on moderately complex utility systems, building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and industrial equipment.
• Creates basic mechanical designs with minimal oversight from a senior engineer.
• Develops project execution documents for estimating and planning.
• Implements mechanical projects with team support.
• Solves problems in an organized manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5 years of relevant exempt experience (with Bachelor's Degree).
• 3 years of relevant professional experience (with Master's Degree).
• 0 years of experience (with Ph.D.).
• Solid knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
• Basic MS Office suite (Word and Excel) skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, peers, and customers.

Nice to Have

• Basic AutoCAD skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical equipment and system interfaces with mechanical systems.
• Understanding of simple electrical and structural drawings.
• Basic understanding of project scheduling tools.

Salary Range

$99,000.00 to $122,000.00
