About the Role

Whizz HR is looking for enthusiastic and passionate CA to work for a leading firm in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and own functioning of all accounting aspects in the travel or ECommerce D2C business.
• Review and develop policies in close collaboration with controllers, set up scalable processes, ensure timely book closure, inventory management/accounting, and consolidation of entities/investments.
• Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, Payable, ensuring company’s internal protocols and SOPs are followed.
• Interface with auditors for statutory audits; align timelines with investor reporting.
• Drive all statutory and tax compliances such as TDS, TCS, GST, RBI, MCA, etc.
• Prepare periodic tax returns with local tax advisors, reconcile tax accounts.
• Interface with the business for appropriate accounting/tax constructs (e.g., agreements with marketplaces, managing merchant/reseller contracts).
• Collaborate with business finance to help in automation, ensuring timely and accurate data capture between accounting systems, internal databases & SaaS applications.
• Identify areas of intercompany relationships, risk areas, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Hire, manage, mentor and provide development path for team members, training, motivating and addressing performance issues.
• Record invoices in a timely manner with accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure international employee expenses and suppliers' invoices are paid on time.
• Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, P&L, and balance sheet).
• Record monthly payroll entries.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of various legal, financial, and tax registrations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Thorough understanding of balance sheets, cash flow, MIS reports, working with CS, ever-changing Tax laws, petty cash system, tally, payrolls, GST.
• Comfortable using G-suite and Google products.
• Excellent Communication (written and verbal) in the English Language.
• An eye for detail along with high benchmarks for quality.
• Great people skills and team management skills.
• Ability to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on management.
• High energy level and untiring commitment to drive oneself & the team towards goals.
