Production Engineering Intern

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Production Engineering Intern role based in Tirunelveli. The intern will support production engineering activities, including monitoring daily operations, assisting with process optimization, and helping implement improvements to efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations.
• Assist with process optimization.
• Help implement improvements to efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support production planning.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams on workflow enhancements.
• Document procedures and process changes.
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot issues on the shop floor.
• Prepare reports.
• Assist in the implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Skills in Production Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering for assisting with process design, optimization, and operational support.
• Strong Analytical Skills and experience or interest in Production Planning to support data-driven decision-making and scheduling activities.
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with production teams, engineers, and supervisors and to document processes clearly.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing, quality control, and safety practices is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Tirunelveli, learn quickly, follow instructions, and adapt to a fast-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with MS Office or other productivity tools for reporting, data analysis, and documentation is an advantage.
