Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: 5:00pm to 10:00pm / 6:00pm to 11:00pm / 3:00pm to 9:00pm / 7:00am to 3:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, and Lead Pharmacist.
- Under the supervision of the Senior Pharmacy Technician/Buyer and Clinical Pharmacists.
- Performs technical activities associated with dispensing pharmaceuticals according to New York State law.
- Understands limitations of the job; all tasks must be approved by a Registered Pharmacist prior to patient dispensing.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Accepted in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- EXPERIENCE: No previous experience required.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of math.
- Ability to operate the following machinery:
- Personal computer
- Laminar flow hood
- Biological hood
- Compounding devices
- Telephone
- Fax machine
- Hospital computer systems
- Copy machine
- Prescription balance
- Automated medication dispensing machines.
