Credit Analyst

About the Role

The Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team within Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) is hiring an Analyst for the corporates vertical, focusing on private equity LBO transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze all aspects of financing, including financial modeling, due diligence, credit analysis, credit approval, and marketing for non-investment grade corporate credits.
• Monitor portfolio companies post-closing and identify investment ideas for new origination opportunities in investment banking products and services.
• Prepare and present quarterly reporting memos to senior managers.
• Participate in the workout of distressed deals with internal and external partners.
• Manage and coordinate administrative and compliance processes with other departments.
• Engage with management teams on diligence requests and lender questions.
• Prepare and present memos for credit agreement amendments.
• Coordinate with internal investment banking partners on new deal origination transactions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency.

Qualifications

• Three-statement financial modeling experience, including operating builds and capital structure scenarios.
• Knowledge of corporate finance valuation and financial accounting concepts.
• Formal credit training and experience conducting credit analysis.
• Experience working on restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Bachelors Degree from a top-tier university, preferably in Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
• 6 months to 2 years of investment banking, credit analysis, or restructuring experience.
