Role: Mechanical Designer (R&D focus)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of mechanical components, systems, and technical specifications.
- Application of the Stage Gate process for product development.
- 3D modeling and CAD using SolidWorks.
- Utilizing SolidWorks PDM Works for traceability and version control.
- Generating BOMs (Bill of Materials) and managing engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Performing design analysis using FEA software tools and other engineering analysis platforms to evaluate structural, thermal, and fatigue aspects of designs.
- Integrating welding standards (e.g., AWS, ISO) into design and drafting.
- Communicating design concepts, technical specifications, and project updates clearly in written and spoken English.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assembly, drafting).
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM Works.
- Experience with FEA software tools and other engineering analysis platforms.
- Knowledge of welding standards (e.g., AWS, ISO).
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Mandatory Skills: CADTools.
