Product Compliance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• For each product, break down the Bill of Materials (BOM) in an Excel file, referencing product drawings and material details.
• Identify supplier parts and TE parts using engineering drawings and SAP data.
• Contact suppliers via email to request Material Declaration (MD) for part numbers (p/n).
• Review provided MDs for material, substance composition, and total product weight.
• Perform compliance coding in the PCT application for REACH, ROHS, and Halogens.
• Interact with suppliers via email to obtain material declarations and compliance statements (REACH/RoHS).
• Interact with Product Engineers and the Procurement Team to acquire necessary product/supplier details.
• Enter material declarations in various customer formats.
• Work on the Conflict Minerals Project.
• Based on obtained material declarations, address industry-specific surveys (e.g., Phthalates survey, Red Phosphorus Survey, PFAS).
• Enter compliance information into external web portals such as BOMCheck and customer portals.
