About the Role
This contract role for a Python QA Automation Engineer is a hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts in Python to validate web and backend applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts in Python.
- Create and execute test cases.
- Perform manual and automated software testing.
- Analyze test results.
- Report defects with clear documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other QA professionals.
- Refine requirements.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Python-based frameworks and tools
- Test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, pytest, Robot Framework)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Git
- Basic familiarity with SQL or other database query languages
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance principles and best practices, including test planning and defect management.
- Proficiency in designing and documenting Test Cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing techniques for web and API-based applications.
- Practical expertise in Software Testing and QA Automation.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot test failures, and communicate findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
