Cybersecurity Analyst Intern

About the Role

Valency Networks Private Limited is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst Intern interested in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT). The intern will work with the cybersecurity team to identify, validate, and report security vulnerabilities in applications, APIs, networks, and systems. This is a full-time, work-from-office internship located in Kothrud, Pune.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing VAPT on web applications, APIs, networks, and operating systems.
• Conduct manual security testing based on the OWASP Top 10.
• Utilize tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, OWASP ZAP, and Postman.
• Document findings with clear evidence, impact, and remediation recommendations.
• Support vulnerability retesting after fixes are implemented.
• Follow ethical hacking guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Students pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Candidates pursuing relevant cybersecurity certifications or courses may also apply.
• Must be willing to learn, perform hands-on testing, and work from the office in Pune.
• Hands-on exposure to Burp Suite, Nmap, or similar security tools.
• Basic understanding of networking, HTTP/HTTPS, Linux, and web technologies.
• Familiarity with common vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, XSS, broken access control, and insecure file upload.
• Basic knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and penetration-testing methodology.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Strong interest in ethical hacking and cybersecurity.
