About the Role
Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy/Specimen Processing Supervisor, you will perform essential specimen handling and processing tasks for clinical laboratory testing. This includes receiving, verifying, preparing, and routing samples to appropriate technical departments. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, accession, and process a variety of clinical specimens for laboratory testing
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and data entry into laboratory systems
- Route specimens to appropriate technical areas in a timely manner
- Maintain specimen integrity and follow all safety and compliance protocols
- Support workflow efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Computer systems and basic office software
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous laboratory, healthcare, or data entry experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry accuracy
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Shift: Evening shift (2:00pm-10:30pm)
Pay Range: $19.95 - $27.55 / Hourly
Schedule: Full Time
