About the Role
The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing new collections, including sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications for garments. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Delhi, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing and developing new collections.
- Creating sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications for garments.
- Selecting fabrics and trims.
- Coordinating with pattern makers and production teams.
- Overseeing fittings.
- Ensuring design quality and consistency.
- Keeping up with fashion trends.
- Preparing mood boards.
- Collaborating with merchandising on assortments.
- Supporting lookbook or campaign development.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in sketching and using design tools (manual or digital).
- Basic knowledge of pattern making.
- Basic knowledge of technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, including trend research and collection development.
- Hands-on skills in Embroidery and Textiles, with the ability to select and coordinate fabrics, embellishments, and finishes.
- Practical experience in Fitting and garment construction, ensuring precise fit, drape, and comfort.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institute.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong aesthetic sense.
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Previous experience in apparel or couture design is preferred but not mandatory for highly skilled emerging designers.
