Residential Designer

About the Role

Interior Company, a subsidiary of Square Yards, is seeking a full-time, on-site Residential Interior Designer in Bengaluru. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to distinctive residential spaces in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and design interior spaces for residential projects.
• Develop layouts, select materials, and coordinate finishes and furnishings.
• Create design concepts, drawings, and presentations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure design intent is maintained through execution.
• Meet clients to understand requirements and translate preferences into detailed design solutions.
• Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site visits and oversee installation quality.
• Ensure completed spaces are functional, aesthetically cohesive, and aligned with client expectations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning for residential projects.
• Knowledge of Architecture fundamentals and ability to coordinate with structural and MEP teams.
• Proficiency in creating detailed Construction Drawings and documentation for execution.
• Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, sourcing, and specification.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong visualization skills, attention to detail, and understanding of materials, finishes, and color theory.
• Ability to communicate design concepts clearly to clients and project stakeholders.
• Experience managing residential projects from concept to completion, including vendor and site coordination.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
