Technician (Part Time)

About the Role

Bridgeview Eye Partners is seeking a Technician to join their clinical team. This role is crucial in preparing patients and exam rooms for eye examinations, performing preliminary testing, and assisting physicians with procedures. The position offers opportunities for growth and skill development in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor-requested tests on patients.
• Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow, communicating delays.
• Prepare exam rooms by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized, and inviting environment.
• Perform other duties as determined by the office manager, team lead, or doctor(s).

• Starting hourly wage of $18.00-$23.00 per hour.

Physical Demands (per ADA Guidelines)

• Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods, stooping, grasping, lifting, talking, hearing.
• Physical Requirements: Light work. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. regularly from floor to waist, 5 lbs. from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs. from shoulder to overhead.
• Visual Acuity: Required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work.
