Investment Analyst Intern

About the Role

WestGate Partners is seeking driven and detail-oriented Investment Analyst Interns to join their lean, fast-paced investment team. This role is primarily focused on deal sourcing, identifying, researching, and qualifying founder-owned home and commercial service businesses for acquisition. Interns will also gain exposure to live transactions and support active deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and screen companies against investment criteria, including size, services mix, ownership, and geography.
• Map local and regional markets to identify attractive areas and acquisition targets.
• Support direct outreach to business owners and track conversations and follow-ups.
• Conduct market and industry research to support deal theses.
• Assist on live transactions, including financial analysis, investment memoranda, and diligence.

Program Details

• Term: November 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027.
• Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week, with at least 10 to 15 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time).
• Location: Fully remote. Must be located in the United States or Canada.
• Compensation: Unpaid.
• Eligibility: Current college students (freshman through graduate student) who can commit to the full term and are not currently working or interning elsewhere.
