Software Engineer, New Grad (Dec 2026)

About the Role

Notion is a collaborative AI workspace. This role is for a Software Engineer, New Grad, with an expected graduation in December 2026 and ability to start full-time by January/February 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, shape, and build new product features from conception through maintenance.
• Improve performance and reliability of existing features.
• Build internal tools to enhance team simplicity and productivity.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• TypeScript, Node.js, Python
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Modern UI framework like React
• Familiarity with backend systems and how parts of a system fit together.
• Familiarity with database systems like Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB is a plus.
• Experience with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch (Nice to Have)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development environments like Codex, Claude Code

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Must graduate by December 2026 and be able to start full-time by January/February 2027.
• Previous internship experience.
• Working towards proficiency in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
• Impact-driven approach to technology, focusing on user impact and solving real problems.

• Thoughtful problem-solving skills, including understanding context, decomposing problems, and seeking help when needed.
