About the Role
As a Software Developer Intern at Sandhills Global, you will learn modern tools and technologies used to develop industry-leading software. You will be placed in the developer training department to become familiar with our processes, procedures, and tech stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, upgrade, and create new software for business needs.
- Engage in front-end web development, back-end business logic changes, or database work.
- Contribute to a highly collaborative team utilizing agile practices to develop real-world software for:
- Improving operational efficiency for the company.
- Developing services sold to customers.
- Working on public websites visited by millions of users monthly.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Primarily a Microsoft shop utilizing technologies within that ecosystem.
- C# is the primary coding language for new projects.
- Maintenance of mature systems written in VB.
- Web-based, data-driven applications utilize:
- .NET
- SQL Server
- Web APIs
- Front-end frameworks such as JavaScript, jQuery, and React.js.
- Project-specific minority technologies: PHP, Swift, Objective-C, and Java.
- Previous experience with Docker, Jenkins, and Python can be helpful.

- Ability to commute when scheduled to the local office is required.
