Research Assistant

Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network

Ahmedabad, Gujarat (with field visits as required)

Key Responsibilities

• Research agriculture, natural farming, sustainable practices, and rural livelihoods.
• Identify and document grassroots innovations, traditional knowledge, and innovative farming practices.
• Engage with farmers, FPOs, SHGs, rural entrepreneurs, and local communities.
• Support product development, value addition, market research, and commercialisation of agricultural and natural products.
• Conduct field surveys, interviews, data collection, and impact assessments.
• Coordinate with government departments, research institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
• Organise field visits, training programmes, workshops, and community meetings.
• Prepare research reports, case studies, project proposals, and project documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Organic Farming, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Environmental Science, Food Science, or related fields.
• Experience in agricultural research, Organic farming, or community-based projects.
• Good communication, analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel and work with rural communities.
• Experience in the agro-ecological category of farmer innovators in sustainable practices.
• Experience in Horticulture and food processing, farm machinery design and development.
• Familiar with a local farmer-related AI agent.

Salary Range: 40,000 - 60,000 (Negotiable)
