Cost Accountant

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Cost Accountant role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reports.
• Monitor production costs across manufacturing operations.
• Perform MIS reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare variance analyses.
• Support budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to improve cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Strong Cost Accounting skills with experience in cost analysis, standard costing, and variance reporting.
• Finance and Financial Statements skills, including the ability to interpret and prepare financial reports.
• Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CA Inter) are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in the Chakan area.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
