About the Role

GITAM (Deemed to be University) invites applications for a faculty position in Information Systems within the GITAM School of Business. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to departmental and institutional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Database Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Enterprise Systems (e.g., SAP), Cybersecurity, or IT Project Management.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Advise and mentor students academically and professionally.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to service activities at departmental, college, and university levels.
• Engage with industry partners and support student internship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Information Systems, or a related field.
• Effective teaching or potential for excellence in teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in IT, business analytics, or cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated research record or potential for scholarly productivity.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and technology-enhanced teaching.
