About the Role
Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support our residents’ physical and emotional well-being in a warm, home-like environment. This role functions as part of an interdisciplinary care team and upholds Americare’s standards, values, and commitment to resident-centered care.
This Role May Also Be Known As Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Support Aide.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity
- Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition
- Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs
- Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
- Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and BLS certifications are a plus — training available

Physical Demands
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
Work Environment
- Indoor senior living environment.
- Duties may include accompanying residents to supervised indoor or outdoor activities.
Pay
- Starting at $16-$17/hour
