Integration Engineer

About the Role

ELLKAY is seeking a full-time Integration Engineer to join our team at our company headquarters. This role requires a computer-savvy problem-solver with strong communication skills and a passion for client services.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement, execute, and complete projects involving file formats like HL7, JSON, XML, and connectivity types such as API, SFTP, and TCP-IP.
• Assist ELLKAY team members with suggesting technical architecture for their projects.
• Provide support for technical issues that arise.
• Install and configure proprietary software solutions remotely.
• Oversee the successful implementation of complex lab interface projects across multiple ELLKAY software solutions.
• Plan and schedule project timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project communication.
• Ensure effective handoff for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation for each project.
• Perform other technical duties as required.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience working with file formats such as HL7, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with connectivity types including API, SFTP, and TCP-IP.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Solid knowledge of networking and different connectivity solutions (e.g., VPN, SFTP, TCP-IP).
• Demonstrated organization and planning abilities.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise effective decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• HL7 knowledge (e.g., ORM, ORU, ADT, SIU, DFT).
• Experience working with different data formats (e.g., HL7, XML, CSV).
• Experience working with API connectivity.
• Knowledge of healthcare data & workflow.
