About the Role
The Service Engineer – Chip Conveyor Systems is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. This role involves installing, commissioning, and servicing chip conveyor and related material-handling systems at customer locations, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing, commissioning, and servicing chip conveyor and related material-handling systems at customer locations.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Performing routine and preventive maintenance.
- Carrying out repairs.
- Providing technical support and guidance to operators and maintenance teams.
- Conducting site inspections.
- Preparing service reports.
- Coordinating with internal teams for spare parts and upgrades.
- Supporting customers with safe and efficient use of the equipment.
- Communicating clearly with customers.
- Adhering to safety standards.
- Regular travel within the region for field service activities.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for mechanical and electro-mechanical conveyor systems.
- Field Service capabilities, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer support.
- Maintenance & Repair skills for chip conveyors, coolant filtration systems, and related equipment.
- Effective Communication skills.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site service within the Greater Ahmedabad Area and occasionally to other regions.
Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical, Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Experience in industrial machinery, material handling, or manufacturing environments, preferably conveyors or coolant systems.
