Construction Supervisor

About the Role

The Construction Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities on project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise site operations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and workers to ensure work is carried out according to design specifications, schedules, and budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections.
• Monitor work quality.
• Enforce construction safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Manage site documentation.
• Report progress.
• Address technical and operational issues.
• Support continuous improvement in construction processes.
• Foster effective communication among all stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and alignment with client expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong Supervisory Skills with proven experience in Site Supervision on construction or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in Inspection activities, including monitoring work quality, verifying compliance with drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Sound knowledge of Construction Safety practices and HSE regulations, with the ability to enforce safe work procedures on site.
• Effective Communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients, and preparing clear site reports.
• Relevant technical background, such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work in demanding site environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EPCC or oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, or industrial construction projects is an advantage.
