Analyst

About the Role

The Analyst role at Northstar Atlas is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on energy, infrastructure, mining, and climate-related markets.
• Consolidate data from public and proprietary sources.
• Develop analytical models.
• Support power market and investment analysis.
• Prepare clear, structured reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpret complex datasets.
• Support executive education content with evidence-based insights.
• Contribute to client engagements and market access projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in internal knowledge-building initiatives.
• Help refine methodologies and tools used across the organization.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Excel, Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modeling.
• Ability to conduct structured research.
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Ability to develop clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
• PowerPoint, Tableau, or similar for creating reports, visualizations, and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
• Interest or experience in energy markets, infrastructure, mining, sustainability, or climate-related topics.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a concise, accessible manner.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, engineering, finance, environmental science, data science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with consulting, policy analysis, or market research is an advantage.
• Familiarity with open-source modeling frameworks is an advantage.
