Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Intern role based in New Delhi. The intern will support lawyers and staff with legal research, case law and statute analysis, and preparation of briefs, notes, and case files.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and review basic legal documents.
• Organize and maintain files.
• Assist in the preparation of hearings or client meetings.
• Help with administrative and coordination tasks as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely delivery of work.
• Observe client interactions and court proceedings.
• Develop a practical understanding of legal processes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an LL.B or equivalent law degree, with a strong academic foundation in core legal subjects.
• Ability to conduct structured legal research using online databases and other resources, and to summarize findings clearly and accurately.
• Strong legal drafting and writing skills, with attention to detail, grammar, and formatting in English.
• Proficiency in Hindi is an advantage.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, maintain case files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional work ethic, including confidentiality, integrity, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.
• Comfort with basic office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools).
• Ability to adapt to new systems and processes.
• Interest in litigation, corporate law, or related practice areas.
• Motivation to build practical experience in a law firm setting.
