Product & Aftermarket Support Development Associate

About the Role

This is an onsite position in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The individual will participate in a targeted thirty-six (36) month rotation program designed to assimilate into the Komatsu culture and make an important contribution. The duration of the rotation program may be shortened or lengthened at management's discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in an enhanced training program preparing for full-time placement within the Product and Aftermarket Support Division.
• Potential rotation areas include:
• Marketing Engineering
• Product Marketing
• Intelligent Machine Control (iMC)
• Product Technical Support
• Quality Engineering
• A.I. Artificial intelligence Systems / Development
• May be required to relocate to a manufacturing plant or distributor location within the US for a short period to gain exposure to critical business areas, focusing on vendor recovery.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• CAD experience, preferably ProE/Creo.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Pivot Tables, Vlookups, and other reporting tools.
• Proven/completed software development projects are a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Mining Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization or Technical Systems Management from an accredited college/university.
• GPA: Minimum of 3.0+.
• Experience: Entry Level, recently graduated or graduating engineering student.
• Preferred Experience:
• Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participation in teams or clubs, professional organizations, etc.
• Prior internship with a heavy equipment or automotive manufacturer is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Ability to multi-task, manage multiple deadlines, and work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle pressure.
• Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and drive results.
• Interest in capital goods / heavy equipment (Construction, Forestry and Mining Support Equipment).
• Analytical Skills: Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Travel: Requires extensive overnight travel and/or possible relocation within our distributor network or manufacturing locations.

Hiring Range

• Base pay: $59,400 - $74,200. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
