Junior Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular shop-floor safety inspections and report unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Support incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Assist in employee/contractor safety induction and toolbox meetings.
• Maintain inspection checklists, training records, incident reports, PTW records, and EHS data.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of workplace hazards, risk assessment, and accident prevention.
• Ability to identify unsafe conditions and support risk-control measures (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment - HIRA).
• Knowledge of selection, usage, inspection, and compliance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Basic knowledge of fire prevention, fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation, and mock drills (Fire & Emergency Safety).
• Understanding of Hot Work, Work at Height, Confined Space, Electrical Work, and other safety permits (Permit to Work - PTW).
• Basic awareness of applicable factory, occupational safety, environmental, and fire-safety requirements (Statutory EHS Compliance).
• Basic knowledge of waste segregation, hazardous waste handling, pollution prevention, and resource conservation (Environmental Management).
• Basic skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint for maintaining EHS trackers, monthly reports, and safety presentations.
