Interior Designer

About the Role

HUB Interior, a Bengaluru-based interior design company established in 2019, seeks an Interior Designer for a full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru North. The company specializes in residential interiors, known for its blend of design skills, creativity, and professional ethics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, preferences, and budgets.
• Develop interior design concepts.
• Prepare layout plans and mood boards.
• Select materials and finishes.
• Coordinate FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) specifications.
• Create and review construction and detailed drawings.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure designs are executed as planned.
• Visit project sites regularly to track progress, address design issues, and maintain quality standards.
• Manage timelines and documentation for assigned projects.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
• Familiarity with presentation tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform Space Planning and Interior Design for residential projects, with a focus on functionality and aesthetics.
• Knowledge of Architecture principles relevant to interiors.
• Experience preparing or interpreting Construction Drawings.
• Experience specifying and coordinating FF&E, including furniture layouts, fixtures, finishes, and decorative elements.
• Strong visual, conceptual, and technical design skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams on-site.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with relevant project experience.
• Knowledge of local materials, vendors, and construction practices in Bengaluru is an advantage.
