About the Role
BeaconFire Inc. is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join their team in Central NJ. The role involves building, maintaining, and operating integrations, reporting pipelines, and data transformation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the analytics team to find reliable data solutions.
- Design and implement scalable ETL or ELT processes.
- Perform data extraction, manipulation, and production from database tables.
- Build utilities, user-defined functions, and frameworks to enable data flow patterns.
- Build and incorporate automated unit tests, and participate in integration testing.
- Work with teams to resolve operational and performance issues.
- Ensure quality solutions are implemented and engineering best practices are adhered to.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Intermediate Python
- Experience with relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
- Experience in data processing is a plus: Numpy, Pandas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated.
Qualifications
- Passion for data and a deep desire to learn.
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Data Analytics/Data Science, or related discipline.
- Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
Compensation
$62,000 – $80,000/year
