About the Role
This is a full-time Military SkillBridge Internship for active-duty military veterans seeking a transition into the finance industry, specifically in Commercial Banking and Credit Analysis. The program aims to equip veterans with financial modeling skills and place them in internship roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Evaluate business financial health by analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and other relevant data. Assess revenue trends, profit margins, debt levels, and liquidity.
- Risk Assessment: Assess lending risk by considering industry trends, market conditions, and borrower credit history.
- Credit Scoring: Quantify creditworthiness using scoring models based on payment history, credit utilization, and length of credit history.
- Report Preparation: Compile detailed reports outlining creditworthiness assessments, including financial ratios, risk analysis, and recommendations for loan terms or credit limits.
- Communication: Interact with borrowers to gather information and clarify details. Collaborate with colleagues, such as loan officers and underwriters.
Requirements & Tech Stack

- Financial Modeling Certification (provided through the program)
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of active duty military leadership experience.
- Preference for combat arms experience, but not required.
- Passion to start a career in finance and commercial banking.
- Honorable service and exemplary service evaluations.
- Desire for leadership opportunities in finance.
- Willingness to virtually attend and pass a no-cost financial modeling certification program prior to transition.
