About the Role
Everforth ECS is seeking a Jr Data Engineer to support the development and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Solutions. This role involves working in a hybrid remote/onsite capacity, requiring a minimum of 3 business days onsite at our Fairfax, VA corporate office and/or our Springfield, VA customer site. The work is performed in a multidisciplinary small team environment, contributing to a pathfinder program for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in technical exchange meetings and discussions with customers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate, prioritize, and track datasets supporting AI efforts.
- Work closely with software engineers and architects to extract, transform, and standardize data for ingest into Machine Learning (ML) development environments.
- Support continuous process automation for data ingest.
- Support the integration of ML algorithms for testing and operational deployment.
- Assist with the design and development of data services and pipelines.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Data Team to determine data requirements and serve as the project data advocate.
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously under changing priorities and deadlines.
- Help cultivate an environment that promotes customer service, excellence, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with CI Poly.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Math, Finance, Statistics, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or an equivalent field.
- 0-2+ years of working experience in one of the related areas: Data Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Relevant coursework may be considered as a substitute for actual experience.
- Experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience transforming and manipulating data sets.
- Experience with text and JSON data exploration, mining, parsing, and transformation.
- Experience processing geospatial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic about implementing new technologies where deadlines are important to national security.
Desired Skills
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Linux OS.
- Experience working with cloud technologies (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure).
- Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations or performers.
