B2B Marketing Intern
Vertex
About Vertex
Vertex is an archive intelligence layer for manufacturers. It reads a company's existing CAD archive and makes it answerable, so engineers stop redrawing parts that already exist. Our product finds whether a part was drawn before, flags drawings that disagree with the ERP, and builds verified 3D models from 2D drawings. Our latest launch, Vertex Flip, turns 2D DWG drawings into 3D parametric models in about five minutes, without a CAD expert. We're an early-stage startup, so your work will reach real customers right away.
The Role
We're hiring a B2B Marketing Intern to help tell the Vertex story to manufacturers, engineers, and operations leaders. You'll work directly with the founder on LinkedIn content, product launches, and lead generation. This is a hands-on role at an early-stage company. You'll ship real campaigns, see what works, and learn how B2B buyers in manufacturing make decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and write LinkedIn posts for the Vertex company page and the founder's profile, including product demos, customer problems, and launch announcements
- Turn product features into short videos, carousels, and before-and-after visuals (for example, a 2D drawing becoming a 3D model)
- Support product launches such as Vertex Flip: launch posts, giveaways, comment engagement, and follow-up with interested leads
- Research target customers (manufacturers, engineering managers, CAD and design teams) and build prospect lists
- Help draft email outreach, landing page copy, and one-page product sheets
- Track post and campaign performance (impressions, engagement, clicks, sign-ups, demo requests) and share a short weekly summary
- Monitor competitors and industry conversations in CAD, PLM, and manufacturing software
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Hands-on social media experience, ideally on LinkedIn: running a page, a club account, or your own audience
- Clear, concise writing that can explain a technical product in plain language
- Interest in B2B marketing and comfort talking to a technical audience
- Basic skills with design tools such as Canva or Figma
- Self-starter who can take a rough idea and turn it into a finished post or campaign
- Please include links to work you've created (posts, content, campaigns) with your application
Nice to Have
- Previous internship or project in B2B, SaaS, or startup marketing
- Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar) for short demo clips
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot, Apollo, or other B2B marketing tools
- Exposure to engineering, manufacturing, or CAD, or a genuine interest in learning it
- Experience using AI tools to speed up content creation and research
What You'll Get
- Direct mentorship from the founder and a seat in real go-to-market decisions
- Ownership of campaigns from idea to results, with work you can show in your portfolio
- Hands-on experience marketing an AI product to an industrial B2B audience
- A letter of recommendation for strong performers, and potential for a full-time role as the company grows.
