About the Role
- Temporary to permanent role with full-time hours (4 days per week, 10 hours per day).
- Pay is $19/hr.
- Hours: Sunday-Wednesday, 4:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Must enjoy working on their feet.
- Must be able to handle a high fragrance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Un-boxes, weighs, and logs product test samples upon arrival.
- Performs sample setup in the testing lab.
- Tests, observes, and documents test samples in accordance with required protocols.
- Performs general housekeeping in the lab (cleaning wax off testing shelves and floor, cleaning HVAC filters, replacement of burn surfaces).
- Analyzes soot collection targets.
- Conducts flash-point testing.
- Photographs test samples.
- Catalogs, stores, and disposes of test samples.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Access.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong observation skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Must be able to handle strong and continuous fragrances.
- This is an in-laboratory opportunity (not remote).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
- Ability to stand for 4+ hours per day.
- Ability to handle exposure to high fragrance odors.
