YouTube Marketing Executive
Ditto Insurance
About the Role
We’re looking for a YouTube Marketing Executive who understands how content works, can spot what makes a video interesting, and is comfortable being in front of the camera. This role is a mix of content marketing, YouTube growth, and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own YouTube content from idea to publishing and performance analysis.
- Identify video opportunities through YouTube search, audience comments, trends, competitor research, internal teams, and customer questions.
- Work on the positioning and packaging of videos, including the topic, angle, title, hook, and thumbnail direction.
- Create and present content for Ditto’s YouTube channels.
- Work across both long-form videos and Shorts.
- Adapt content for different languages and audiences instead of simply translating the same script.
- Work with writers, editors, and designers to improve the final output.
- Help shape scripts with a focus on clarity, retention, and making complex topics easier to understand.
- Repurpose strong ideas across different formats and languages where relevant.
- Publish and optimize videos with appropriate titles, descriptions, chapters, links, and other channel hygiene.
- Track metrics such as CTR, audience retention, watch time, traffic sources, subscriber growth, and leads.
- Use performance data to understand what is working and improve future content.
- Experiment with new formats, series, titles, thumbnails, and content approaches.
- Help launch and grow newer regional YouTube channels.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- You understand content; you can tell the difference between something that is technically correct and something people will actually want to watch.
- You are confident and natural on camera.
- You can speak and present comfortably in more than two languages.
- You have a strong sense of what makes people click on a video and continue watching it.
- You understand how YouTube works beyond simply posting consistently.
- You are comfortable using YouTube Analytics and interpreting performance data.
- You enjoy researching topics and identifying content opportunities.
- You can simplify complicated topics without making them inaccurate.
- You understand the importance of titles, thumbnails, hooks, and retention.
- You follow YouTube and social media closely and have a good sense of what content formats are working.
- You can adapt the same underlying idea for different audiences, languages, and formats.
- You can balance creative instincts with data.
- You are comfortable using AI tools, but can independently decide what is worth making and why.
- This role may not be for you if you prefer staying completely behind the scenes or aren't comfortable regularly presenting on camera. It may also not be the right fit if you prefer working only from pre-decided topics and detailed briefs. We’re looking for someone who can independently identify content opportunities, create and present content, and take ownership of helping our YouTube channels grow.
Qualifications
We’re more interested in how you think about content and YouTube than the exact job titles you’ve had. You can share:
- Videos where you’ve appeared on camera
- A YouTube channel you’ve worked on
- Shorts or long-form videos you’ve created
- Videos you’ve researched, scripted, or helped package
- Titles or thumbnails you’ve worked on
- Your own social media or YouTube channel
- Content you’ve created in different languages
- A content series you helped build
If you’ve worked on a video that performed well, we’d also like to understand why you think it worked.
This is an in-office role.
