The Role

You will be the analytical gatekeeper, ensuring all intelligence is accurate, complete, and sensible before it reaches customers. This role involves close collaboration with founders and the data team to review financial information, deal activity, and wealth signals. It is suited for individuals who enjoy meticulous verification, identifying inconsistencies, and have a genuine interest in market trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify financial data, company information, and deal activity for accuracy and consistency.
• Cross-reference information across multiple sources and resolve any discrepancies.
• Spot anomalies, gaps, and patterns in large datasets.
• Build Excel models and Python scripts to automate repetitive checks and improve team efficiency.
• Track funding rounds, exits, M&A, IPOs, and other money movements in India’s market.
• Assist in defining and improving data quality standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong analytical skills with a passion for working with numbers.
• Obsessive attention to detail.
• Strong hands-on Excel skills: lookups, pivots, formulas, data cleaning.
• Working knowledge of Python (pandas is a plus), particularly for automation.
• Genuine interest in finance: startups, funding, markets, wealth creation, and money movement.
• Ability to read financial statements, deal announcements, and business news.

Qualifications

• Final-year students or recent graduates in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

• CFA Level 1 or NISM certification, or currently pursuing one.
• Demonstrated initiative in building a tracker, model, or automation.
