About the Role
As an AWS Edge Computing Engineer, you will design and deliver secure, portable, and high-performance compute solutions that thrive in the toughest environments. You will integrate AI models at the edge, leverage AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, and SageMaker, and build systems that operate anywhere, anytime with zero-trust security and rugged reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver secure, portable, and high-performance compute solutions for edge environments.
- Integrate AI models at the edge.
- Leverage AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, and SageMaker.
- Build systems that operate anywhere, anytime with zero-trust security and rugged reliability.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, or SageMaker Edge Manager for deploying and managing workloads at the tactical edge.
- Experience with deploying optimized AI and ML models to edge devices, including:
- Quantization
- Pruning
- Model telemetry at the edge
- Implementing secure boot
- Artifact signing
- Encryption at rest or in transit
- Experience with containerization technologies.
- Experience with micro-service network architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
- Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and technical environment of software programming.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SD-WAN, 5G, NextG, and satellite connectivity.
- Experience with incorporating Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), vulnerability scanning, and compliance-as-code for secure deployments.
- Experience orchestrating OTA updates and rollback strategies over constrained links.
- Experience with AWS Outposts and hybrid architectures for tactical and disconnected environments.
- Top Secret clearance.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification.
