About the Role
Affirm's Search team is critical in evolving Marketplace into a best-in-class shopping experience. Improving search is a high-leverage investment for user engagement and merchant value, especially with the growth of a new Ads business.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to team projects and goals with team support.

Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience working with Javascript/Typescript.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Experience using Python or Kotlin.
- Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into solutions interacting with multiple software components.
- Skill in writing clear, easily understood, well-tested, and extensible code.
- Comfort navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing feedback through code reviews.
- Demonstrated ownership of growth by seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
Qualifications
- Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
