ABAP Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an ABAP Engineer to join our AI innovation team and contribute to the development of modern banking solutions. This role focuses on backend development within SAP-based banking environments, integrating AI-powered capabilities into enterprise applications and business processes. You will collaborate with AI engineers, solution architects, and banking experts to build the technical foundations for scalable and reliable AI-driven solutions. This is an opportunity for engineers with strong ABAP development skills to expand their experience with modern integration technologies and AI-powered applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP-based solutions within SAP and SAP-based banking environments.
• Build APIs, services, and integration components connecting enterprise applications with AI-powered capabilities.
• Develop and enhance backend services, business logic, and data models for banking products.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate generative AI and automation capabilities into enterprise workflows.
• Support the development of secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementations by working closely with product teams, solution experts, and software engineers.
• Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Participate in system integration, deployment, and support activities.
• Learn and apply modern development practices and emerging technologies for enterprise AI solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• ABAP development and SAP-based application development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs and integration technologies is beneficial.
• Interest in AI, machine learning, or Generative AI technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of SAP development concepts such as CDS Views, OData Services, SAP Gateway, BAPIs, Enhancements, or RAP is an advantage.

Understanding of enterprise software development and system integrations.

Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
