About the Role
This role sets the standard for German language instruction from A1 to B2. You will build the curriculum, train and certify trainers, and ensure consistent quality across all training locations. You are the ultimate authority on German learning quality within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and build the German curriculum from A1 to B2, designed for nurses. This includes session plans, learner workbooks, assessments, and trainer guides.
- Prepare candidates to clear Goethe or TELC B2 exams and own the pass rates.
- Train, observe, and certify city trainers, providing retraining as needed to maintain a consistent standard across all classrooms.
- Act as the quality anchor across all training cities by reviewing assessment data and intervening early when delivery deviates.
- Design the German screening test used for candidate placement before a batch begins.
- Travel to training cities as required for trainer certification, audits, and calibration.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- German proficiency at C2 level, with full command of the language.
- Several years of experience teaching German to adults up to B2, including curriculum-building experience beyond just classroom delivery.
- Hands-on knowledge of Goethe, TELC, or ÖSD exams, with experience coaching candidates to pass them.
- Strong, confident spoken German for modeling learner pronunciation and conversation.
- Full professional English for documentation and coordination.
Qualifications
- German at C2.
- Several years teaching German to adults up to B2.
- Real curriculum-building experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of the Goethe, TELC or ÖSD exams.
- Strong, confident spoken German.
- Full professional English.
Strong pluses include:
- Time spent living, working, or studying in Germany.
- Experience teaching healthcare or nursing German, such as Pflege vocabulary and patient conversations.
- Experience training other trainers or running a language program.
