About the Role
Capital Insurance Group (CIG) is seeking a Technology Intern for a 12-week summer internship within its Information Technology (IT) organization. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team focused on delivering high-quality technology solutions.
Work Environment
- This is a fully in-office position.
- Office locations: Reno, NV, and Phoenix, AZ.
- Salary: $25/hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Write code in object-oriented programming language(s).
- Provide unit tests in development.
- Understand and modify simple SQL.
- Be mentored to learn new technologies quickly.
- Learn to use modern development tools such as git and Jira.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Collaborate with other developers.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Able to code in at least 1 object-oriented programming language (Java preferred).
- Basic SQL and database knowledge.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for a 12-week session.
- Familiarity with git and Jira.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
